About Cascina Valle Asinari

 

 

 

Cascina Valle Asinari started since 1300 by a noble family of Asinari, a former landlord of huge land around Asti area, Piedmont. It is now owned by Borgogno, who purchased the property in 2016.

 

 

 

 

The area has a mild climate particularly favorable to the cultivation of vines and therefore to the production of wine. The leading vine of these hills is Barbera, which finds particularly favorable pedoclimatic conditions for its maturation. Cascina Valle Asinari produces only Barbera d’Asti, Barbera d’Asti Superiore and Nizza, one of the oldest Piedmontese DOCG appellation.

 

Barbera from Cascina Valle Asinari are modern, structured, full-bodied but always approachable and versatile. They believed their wines are for everyone to enjoy in every situation.
